My first wafer paper flowers ever. I am glad, that I didn’t let frustration get the better of me. In the beginning, I had to throw away quite a few petals until I finally got the feeling for the moisture needed. A few still had to be binned in between, but I am really pleased with the end result. I hope to get more confidence to be able to give the petals more movement/filling next time. Many thanks, Anna for the great explanations.
Wafer paper flowers are beautiful so I decided to learn how to make them: I have explored a lot of tutorials on YouTube and found that Anna’s tutorials are the best. I learned a lot. For more complex flowers I’ve attended her Peony course and I liked it! Anna is a good teacher, everything explained very well and even if you are a beginner you will be able to make a beautiful flower. I can recommend it to everyone.
Great instruction! Loved the troubleshooting lesson. I threw away a few petals before I got the hang of the moisture level. Looking forward to trying different things. I keep thinking the petals look bad then I put it all together and it’s like a miracle. My second attempt making something in wafer paper. I’m hooked!
When I started my cake decorating journey, I was simply looking for a way to share my creativity… but it soon turned into so much more!
I discovered wafer paper when looking for a healthy yet beautiful option for cake decorating. As I mastered this skill with my own designs, I realized how few cake artists use wafer paper to decorate.
Now, I teach cake artists the skills they need to design modern wedding cakes and lifelike flowers using edible wafer paper (also known as rice paper) so they can build a business that emphasizes their creativity and books high-end clients.
