In this video, you will learn how to decorate wafer paper using a stencil.
This technique is created by uber-talented cake artist Meera on Instagram.
And I wanted to share my to make these decorations and keep wafer paper flexible.
How to stencil wafer paper design?
- I use regular Wafer Paper, which is 0.27mm. You can find my recommendations here.
- Melt compound chocolate (candy melts) in a microwave for 1 minute at 50% power.
- Mix melted chocolate until there are no lumps.
- If needed, melt for additional 10-30 seconds.
- Add a few drops of vegetable oil and mix well.
- Put your stencil on wafer paper and hold it in place. I used this stencil.
- Add chocolate and spread with an offset spatula to get an even thickness.
- Gently peel the stencil off and let the chocolate harden.
- Then it is dry to touch, you can shape your wafer paper into any design!
Hope you give it a try and share on social media! I’m excited to see what you create!
