I TRIED GUMPASTE. I TRIED BUTTERCREAM. I TRIED FAKE FLOWERS.
They’re fragile, they’re heavy, and honestly, none of them ever looked as light or as real as I wanted.
THEN I FOUND WAFER PAPER.
It’s edible, it’s light, and it actually looks like a real flower. Works on fondant, works on buttercream, doesn’t matter.
AND CAN WE TALK ABOUT real flowers FOR A SECOND?
Half of those are actually toxic. And then you are relying on a florist to provide you with enough stems to make an arrangement? No, thank you.
The way I make flowers is just different
No fragile petals, no toxic flowers, no melted piped flowers before you even served the cake.
THE FIRST FLOWER YOU MAKE, YOU WON'T BELIEVE YOU MADE IT.
People look at it and go wait, that’s not real? It looks like it got snatched right out of a painting.
