Hello, it’s a pleasure to greet you.
I found your tutorial by chance.
I would like to ask you:
Is the parchment paper the same non-stick baking paper?
Thank you
Hello, Sandra. Yes, it is the same.
Hello Anna,
Greetings! This is Nazia. Can I apply rice paper sails directly on buttercream cake. I’m afraid the moisture could make the rice paper soft and lose it shape. Is there anything that I can use to maintain it’s shape and not retain moisture from buttercream icing.
Thanks in advance.
Hello, Sandra.
Maybe your fridge is too humid? I put cakes in the fridge in a cardboard box and it is a dedicated cake fridge – no fresh produce or food that needs lots of moisture.
Hi there,
I was wondering how long these sails will keep stable for? I’m looking to make similar sculptures for an art project for uni but am worried about them going off on me. Thanks!
Hello, Amber!
Yes, those can last for years. Make sure you keep them fresh in a food container away from direct sunlight
Hi thank you for your amazing tutorials, how can I stick rice paper sails to the sides of a buttercream cake? I’ve tried just pushing into the buttercream but they didn’t really stay put.
Thank you
Elaine
You can add more buttercream or I use piping gel
