How to make flowers food safe:
- Use a plastic straw or Coffee Stirrer – this method is very useful for small arrangements and single flowers. Watch my video for a pro tip on why to choose bright-colored straws.
- Use food-safe wax. I love Edibles Safety Seal Food-Safe Barrier.
- If you cannot find Safety Seal – meld candy melts or compound chocolate.
- Another way is to tape a bamboo skewer or a toothpick to your flower.
- My favorite method is to use a cake dummy! Yep) Now you know my biggest secret)
